MULTIFAMILY RECYCLING RESOURCES

If you live in an apartment complex, condominium, duplex, or other multifamily living
residence within a RRRASOC member community, t在这里 are a number of services available to help you properly manage your recyclables and other hard to recycle items.

T在这里 are a variety of ways that multifamily residences can still recycle with ease! From Drop-Off Sites to HHW Collection Events, we work to provide all of our member communities with outlets to dispose responsibly and live sustainably.

RRRASOC provides 2 drop-off sites for standard recyclable items like cardboard, 纸, milk and juice cartons, 纸杯, plastic bottles and jugs, 金属罐, and glass bottles and jars. HOUSEHOLD HAZARDOUS WASTE (HHW) COLLECTION EVENTS

Household cleaners, 油漆, 除草剂, 杀虫剂, and solvents are harmful to the environment if thrown into a regular landfill, or worse – dumped down a drain or poured on the ground. These items are often flammable, combustible, corrosive, reactive, or toxic. RRRASOC community members may bring their HHW to a Collection Event for an opportunity to safely discard their hazardous items.

SIMPLE RECYCLING

Simple 回收 is also available at most HHW Collection Events, w在这里 residents can recycle unwanted clothing, 鞋子, 配件, and other household items such as kitchenware, 工具, 玩具, 和书籍. Simple 回收 partners with local 慈善机构 to make sure your gently used items stay within your community to be reused.

Paper shredding is also available on-site at HHW Collection Events. Loose 纸 documents are fed to an industrial-sized shredder to ensure your personal documents remain confidential. Do you have items you are looking to get rid of before or after moving? Instead of tossing them in the garbage – thus sending them to the landfill w在这里 all reusable value is lost – have them donated! BATTERY RECYCLING

电池 cannot be collected curbside or at the drop-off sites as they are considered HHW. Improper disposal of 电池 can result in fires and can put our collection crews, 磁流变液的工人, and even you at risk of injury. Farmington Residents:

Alkaline household 电池 can be dropped off in the battery recycling buckets located inside the double doors at City Hall.

South Lyon Residents:
